Care Coordinator

We are looking for an experienced Care Coordinator to join our Clinical Support Center team in Ft. Lauderdale. The role is suited for someone who takes pride in being organized, paying attention to details, and helping others succeed. In the spirit of InBloom’s core value to “always do the right thing” the Care Coordinator works diligently with the rest of the Care Team to make sure the individuals who receive care from InBloom can do so without having to worry about the logistics of verifying coverage and maintaining authorizations with their healthcare coverage provider.

The Care Coordinator does their part so caregivers can focus on the most important thing: progress for their child. The Care Coordinator is a team-player, an effective communicator, and a positive influence.

• Responsible for pre-certification/authorization and insurance verification for all patients, in coordination with the rest of the Care Coordination team.
• Research, follow-up, and resolve open & pending authorizations in a timely manner
• Complete Notification of Benefits for patients on upcoming visits/ procedures.
• Concisely, precisely and accurately document all activity in the patient account record, in a HIPAA compliant manor
• Accurately enter insurance and authorization information into the EHR
• Help the Care Team maintain clear communication with patients as well as insurance companies.
• Work closely with other departments to communicate authorization approvals and denials, patient benefit changes, and other information
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and center related business.
• Obtain re-authorization for medical services.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Healthcare experience with front/back office including benefits verification strongly preferred
• Demonstrates the ability to use standard office equipment such as telephones, computers, copiers, fax machines and others.
• Displays the ability to communicate with others effectively, listen closely and convey points clearly.
• Shows proficiency with computer programs which may include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email and others.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills both internally and client-facing
• Shows the ability to make decisions based upon anticipated outcomes.
• Possesses the ability to adjust to constantly changing workloads.
• Strong, professional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and has exceptional organizational skills

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
