Overview

The primary function for the Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant is provide assistance to Occupational Therapy evaluations, treatment plans, and treatment to children who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Responsibilities

  • Work in collaboration with multidisciplinary team (ABA and SLP) to provide clinically appropriate evaluations, treatment plans, and Occupational Therapy treatment to children within our center(s).
  • Occupational Therapy services include activities for daily living (ADLs), perceptual/sensory motor, gross motor, fine motor skills.
  • Provide one on one services to children and their caregivers with the utmost clinical integrity.
  • Review children’s medical history and evaluate conditions and needs as clinically appropriate.
  • Record timely and accurate notes on child’s progress for evaluations, billing, and medical records while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance.
  • Follow standard and conduct as outlined by InBloom and the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • None

Qualifications

  • Education from an ACOTE-accredited institution
  • Licensed in Wisconsin
  • Certified with the NBCOT (National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder strongly preferred.
  • Medicaid credentialed provider strongly preferred.
  • A positive and kind attitude at all times.

Work Environment

  • Noise Level is moderate to loud

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods of standing or moving with children.
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.

Travel Required

  • Will assist at our neighboring center

Pay Range

USD $30.00 - USD $34.00 /Hr.
