Overview

The VP of Clinical Operations provides support to a team of at least two Clinical Integrity Officers (i.e. clinical directors) and their respective regions. The primary focus of the VP of Clinical Operations is to ensure the regional leadership at each assigned InBloom location are upholding the highest standards of clinical integrity, and that they are consistently adhering to our standards of quality, ethical, and compassionate services.

 

The VP of Clinical Operations also works in close collaboration with the VP of Operations to plan and execute initiatives with the aim of continually improving client services, as well as team member performance and satisfaction. The position requires the VP of Clinical Operations to serve as a model for InBloom’s standards of service provision, work culture, professionalism, morale, and ethical behavior. A leadership style that is supportive, approachable, and humble is a must. Travel is required between assigned locations, which will include InBloom centers across at least two different states.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting Clinical Integrity Officers (CIOs) with caseload assignments, managing, meeting, and maintaining BCBA productivity requirements
  • Provide second level review of all Behavior Intervention Plans that require PCM/PMT/Safety Care or contain target behaviors that are of safety concern
  • Interviewing CIOs and helping with other interviews as needed (e.g. BCBAs)
  • Providing clinical support and guidance when needed for clients with exceptional clinical needs
  • Facilitating collaboration with other professions and identifying resources when needed
  • Facilitating training of new BCBAs when needed to support a region/CIO
  • Facilitating/supporting new clinical programs / initiatives and their implementation across assigned regions
  • Support CIOs efforts to monitor the quality of client programs in center, as well as student / Student Analyst training experiences that are facilitated by the BCBAs and Sr. Clinical Supervisors
  • Weekly 1:1 meeting with each assigned CIO for status updates on region/BCBA performance/client concerns
  • Weekly meeting with Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) and fellow VPs of Clinical Operations for status updates on regions/CIO and BCBA performance, etc.
  • Weekly/bi-weekly meetings with VPs of Operations and Regional Director of Operations/CIO collaboration meetings
  • Bi-weekly or monthly clinical meetings with all CIOs
  • BCBA bi-weekly meetings for assigned regions as needed
  • Collaboration with recruiting for CIO/BCBA needs in assigned regions
  • Attending business development/recruiting activities for assigned regions as needed
  • Development of new roles/clinical structure/assignment and reassignment of responsibilities in collaboration with CCO
  • Completion of quarterly clinical integrity audit/performance checklist for each CIO in assigned regions
  • Maintenance and development of clinical resources and documentation, as needed
  • Model and uphold the highest standards of ethical and quality care for clients and families and quality oversight of clinical team members
  • Maintain a leadership style that includes but is not limited to: remaining approachable, consistent, reliable, accessible, communicative, humble, supportive, positive, compassionate, conscientious, accountable, innovative, resourceful

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

 

The supervisory responsibilities for the VP of Clinical Operations include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting and monitoring assigned Clinical Integrity Officer (CIO) adherence to InBloom’s clinical processes, systems, and standards of quality assurance and clinical integrity
  • Providing support and guidance to CIOs for next steps (e.g. meetings, parent contracts, mandated reporting, ethical concerns) with families who are not meeting required levels of therapy attendance for any reason, who are not on board with parent training/session needs, or other concerns
  • Training new hire CIOs on all essential functions and InBloom systems and processes
  • Ensuring CIO follow through with BCBA and RBT quarterly performance review process
  • Guiding feedback/disciplinary action, as needed, for all levels of clinical team in assigned regions
  • Implementing disciplinary action with clinical team members, as needed (in collaboration with HR)
  • Terminating clinical team members, as needed (in collaboration with HR)
  • Reviewing CIO’s quarterly clinical integrity audit/performance checklist within 60 days following the given quarter
  • Supporting CIOs with treatment plan/behavior plan reviews when needed
  • Supporting clinical team on administrative end when challenges arise related to other departments or team members
  • Supporting region (CIO/RDO) when chief complaints arise with a client or staff member
  • Foster CIO and BCBA independence with InBloom’s requirements, expectations, and standards of client and RBT oversight /service provision/work culture/professionalism/morale and ethical behavior

 

Qualifications

  • BACB Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) required 
  • A Master’s degree in special education, psychology, or related field, with specialized knowledge of behavioral health and treatment philosophies and professional practices 
  • Possess extensive knowledge and training in behavior analysis
  • Previous experience in supervision or RBTs/managing a caseload
  • Previous leadership experience required

Physical demands

  • Physical capacity to move quickly and respond to potentially aggressive behavior and de-escalate situations with clients. 
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, kneeling, bending, squatting, running and/or sitting in order to interact with clients. 
  • Must be able to move and lift up to 50 pounds to assist with client positioning or mobility.
  • Adequate vision and hearing are needed to work with clients and staff.
  • Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to operate office equipment and other necessary tools.

 

Travel required
